The Future of the Franchise

A few months ago, Paul Walker stated that there might be an 8th, 9th, and 10th movie in the Fast and the Furious series. In my opinion, the plan will not be carried out, because one of the main actors that ran the entire franchise has passed away, and it would be quite difficult to continue a story line without that character. Not to mention, all the O'Connor fan followers would be raging with disappointment.

The release of the seventh installment of the franchise was originally suppose to be released on July 11th 2014, however the release date is now pending.  All over the news on several online news site, such as Daily News, Buzz Feed, The Wrap and many more state that the writers and directors of Fast & Furious 7 have many options on how to continue the movie and the rest of the series, after the passing of Paul Walker. One of the many options is to digitally insert Walker's face on another actor. This option is realistic as it was proven in the movie Gladiator, when another actor's face was placed on Oliver Reed.1 Another option, is to re-write and re-film the entire movie 2. As of now, all decisions regarding the release and the continuation of the film are currently in post-production. In my opinion, I respect that the fact that the writers and directors put the film on hold, because it will provide an sufficient amount of time to make the best decision. I think that the film should not be re-written or re-filmed, because that would be eliminating Walker from the entire plot line, and I think it would be best to re-think parts of the story line, but not get rid of it all together. As it is the best way to honor Walker and his contributions he did to the franchise. I have also heard that Walker already completed filming the majority of his scenes, therefore re-editing those scenes, I believe is the best move for the film at this time.

To conclude, the best way I see the series should continue is to end the story of the current characters, then fast forward into the future by ten to fifteen years and focus the series on Mia's and Brian's son, Jack. As I find that would definitely continue the franchise with a big bang.

The Best and the Worst Fast And The Furious movie

It was a difficult decision, but I came to the conclusion that my favorite film in the Fast and the Furious franchise is the sixth film, Fast & Furious 6; and the worst is the third film, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. In the next paragraphs I will discuss what makes these films the best and what makes them the worst.

Fast & Furious 6 is the best of the franchise, because it has the most action. The director, Justin Lin brings in a lot of sweet and classy cars in this movie, for example, a flip car, a tank and Dominic Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger Daytona. Also, the writers integrated several comedic dialogue, mainly dialogue between Luke Hobbs and Roman Pierce. A scene that stands out the most is when Roman makes a rude remark to Hobbs about Mia hiding baby oil (in regards to Hobbs' shinny skin), and Hobbs replying to Roman to hide his large forehead.  As well as, the film has a lot of fighting scenes, and some amazing car stunts. They also had a lot of fighting and also a lot of scenes were there are cars that are doing crazy stuff. This is what makes Fast & Furious 6 the best film of the franchise, this far.

The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift is the worst movie of the Fast and the Furious franchise, mainly because there are not many racing scenes. As I previously stated, a large reason why I love watching this franchise is because of the racing stunts, and this film lacks that racing element. Even though, the film is focused on drift races, I do not find the drift races as excepted. As well as there are less jokes and less action. Not only that, the story line does not follow with the first two films in the franchise. I only started to like this film after three times of watching it. In my opinion, this film is the most different than any other of the films in the franchise, therefore it takes patience while watching and it is highly suggested to watch the film a few times, before criticizing the film.

In conclusion, even the best franchise ever created has a less than perfect film. However, after the release of the seventh film, the story line of the the third film will finally make sense within the franchise. The films with the most action are my favorite, because I really enjoy the anticipation and excitement

With deep sorrow, friends, family and fans have lost an amazing concern for, Paul Walker. According to several media channels, like TMZ, EW.com, Wikipedia and IMDB to name a few, quickly spread the news of Walker's passing on Saturday, November 30th 2013. It was reported that Walker died in a major car accident, when his car hit a tree and caught on flames while leaving a charity event. Walker, 40, left behind a daughter, family, his Fast and Furious family and million fans worldwide. He was best known for his role as Brian O'Connor in the Fast and Furious franchise. In an interview, Walker stated: "If one day the speed kills me, do not cry, because I was smiling."1 At least he died doing something that he loved very much. On this day, we say good bye to a very talented and charitable human being. I am sure he will be missed and never forgotten, and his memory will live on forever. Paul Walker, rest in peace and thank you very much for sharing your talent with the world and I will miss you. Farewell, Paul Walker, farewell
